El Centro

After seeing Alan perform in a developmental reading of Allegiance, Legally Blond and I were joined by the Boy in the Checkered Shirt. We waited for Alan outside the theater while he was adored by his fans.

From there we went to this Mexican diner. Alan had a chicken quesadilla (sans jalapenos), LB chicken enchiladas with cabbage on the side, and the Boy and I shared a chicken quesadilla and a vegetarian burrito.

Alan and LB had large margaritas.

McSorleys Old Ale House

The Partridge wanted to visit the oldest Irish pub in Manhattan and so we did. Pints, served in two half-pint glasses, were 5 bucks. After the first pint she ordered a round for the entire table. This included a couple from Maine, another pair from Liverpool, and a set from West Point.

The table cleared and we were joined by five UVermont students. The Eagle with three pints in her ordered another round as the Boy in the Checkered Shirt joined us.

Some other stuff happened and then we stumbled out to find dinner.

Eatery

The Eagle and the Partridge arrived in NYC Friday afternoon. I left work at a decent hour and met them at their hotel on 47th street. At the bar. From there we walked to Eatery in Hells Kitchen. We had another drink at the bar while we waited for the Boy in the Checkered Shirt to arrive.

For dinner the Eagle had the pork medallions, the Partridge a quesadilla, the Boy the tuna steak, and I ordered the spinach and pear salad. We shared a plate of somosas.

After dinner we walked the Birds to Promises, Promises.

Automatic Slims

Spent the afternoon in Elizabeth, NJ helping the Boy in the Checkered Shirt prepare his mother for her move to Canarsie next weekend. When we got back to Manhattan we came down to this island-ish bar in the Village. He ordered a Blue Moon and the chicken fajitas. I had a Magic Hat and chicken sandwich.

Clapton played on the sound system.
